The Designer - Catherine Houska

Catherine Houska has always had a passion for fashionable, elegant, distinctive jewelry. Initially, her works of art were strictly designed for her own self indulgence. For her, it was not a hobby, but a way to express her creativity. Catherine transformed stones (i.e., quartz, jade, tiger’s eye, amethyst) and pearls into fashionable designs.

Each new creation she wore attracted the attention of friends and associates. It piqued their curiosity enough to ask two questions:

– Who designed that piece of jewelry and

– Where is the location of the designer’s store?

Everyone was startled to discover that Catherine designed her own jewelry. The majority of her friends and associates knew only of her worldwide reputation as an engineering consultant specializing in the use of stainless steel in architectural applications.

Word quickly spread about her creations. With this awareness came numerous requests to design personalized jewelry - handcrafted one-of-kind pieces. As more pieces were commissioned, it inspired Catherine to create and design a full line. This launched Catherine’s jewelry design career.

Her passion and desire became the catalyst to incorporate new stones and different shapes and sizes of pearls to the line. All materials are natural and molded by nature and refined by Catherine’s visionary sense of style and design. Catherine is a woman who designs for women.

As a designer, she understands what women feel and want in fashion, design and style. Since women are discriminating consumers, Catherine insists on using only the finest natural materials. Understanding that even with busy lives and sometimes limited resources, not all women can attain everything they desire, but still they can be inspired to dream.
